Patreon & supporting the site

Patron perks, connecting your Patreon account and troubleshooting.

#How do patron perks work?

Your perks on ballchasing.com come straight from your Patreon membership. When you pledge, upgrade, downgrade or cancel on Patreon, ballchasing.com is notified within seconds and updates your perks.

Until October 2026, perks depended on Discord: your Patreon account had to be connected to Discord, you had to be on the ballchasing.com Discord server, and your Discord account had to be linked to ballchasing.com. That is no longer needed.

#How do I connect my Patreon account?

  1. Log in to ballchasing.com with Steam.
  2. Open your Patreon page (also in the menu under your name) and click Connect with Patreon.
  3. Patreon asks you to let ballchasing.com see your name, your membership and your connected accounts. Make sure you're logged in to Patreon with the account you pledge with.
  4. You're back on ballchasing.com and your perks are active right away.

Connect with Patreon

#Do I need to do anything if I'm already a patron?

Most likely not. If your Patreon account is connected to Discord and that Discord account was linked to ballchasing.com, your account was matched automatically: your perks are unchanged and now follow your Patreon membership.

You can check on your Patreon page: it shows your connected Patreon account and the perks it gives you.

#What about the Discord patron roles?

The patron roles on the ballchasing.com Discord server are given by Patreon's own Discord integration, as before. To get them, connect your Discord account in your Patreon settings (Connected apps).

Roles and site perks are now independent: leaving the Discord server no longer removes your perks on the site.

#I pledge on Patreon but don't have my perks

Still stuck? Ask on the ballchasing.com Discord.

Your account has patron perks, but it couldn't be matched to a Patreon membership automatically. Connect your Patreon account before November 30, 2026 to keep them: it takes a few seconds.

After November 30, perks that Patreon can't confirm are removed. You can get them back at any time by connecting your Patreon account.

#My perks were removed

No active Patreon membership was found for your account. If you're a patron, connect your Patreon account and your perks come back right away.

When your tier changes, a custom daily upload quota is reset to the default: you can set it again in your profile.

#What are the patron perks?

Perks are designed to help patrons without penalizing other users. Not everyone can support the site financially, and that's fine: the site lives thanks to all of its users.

#How else can I support the site?

ballchasing.com is free and has no ads. Hosting it isn't: more than 145 million replays and their stats take over 200 TB, plus the servers processing them and a database that is continuously archived, backed up every 6 hours and restore-tested every week.

Patreon, from $2 a month, is what keeps it running. Uploading your replays helps too: every replay enriches the population stats everyone uses.
